Bring Earplugs.
Okay, so this is a bit complicated. The room we had was spacious, a general rarity for European hotels. We had a king size bed (yay!) which was mostly comfortable; one side of the bed had a severe slope. Turn in the wrong position and it's off the bed for you! The sparse decor was outdated but clean. The rug should probably be replaced, but that too was fine. The bathroom had a lot of space, too. Shower and toilet were both clean and worked well. The front desk staff: We arrived before the designated check-in time, as we were travelling from another city. Apparently this was a problem for the man working the front desk as he became quite incensed we would approach the desk prior to 4.00pm. He was further set off when another couple soon appeared. He yelled at them for causing even more problems by showing up early. We left our bags (we said that's all we wanted to do) and came back at the appointed time. The person working the front desk on our return was far nicer and helpful. The location was central to Brussels' shopping and night life. However, expect to hear beer-soaked revelers singing at full volume in the back alley until at least 3.00am and sketchy folks loitering/fighting/yelling in front of the hotel from the late-night bar across the way until 7.00am. The Man actually slept in the bathroom, using the available cot. I toughed it out on Mount Bedmore. Neither of us were happy campers. Spend a little more and stay somewhere better.

Please remind that hotel is in pedestrian zone and taxis don't drop off or pick you up at hotel. We had to schlepp our luggage over cobble stones from train station to hotel. We requested ice for our room and the staff told us there was none. I said maybe they could get some at store. They told me maybe I could get some.

Terrible service mind to customer.
Only breakfast was good. Service was terrible. Reception didn't care about customer's letter. Almost couldn't find my letter. A reception man of bold hair was really terrible. I asked him to find my letter and he couldn't, so I told him to call his boss, but he said he can't because today is sunday...What the...I had to check out on monday that's why I need my letter on Sunday, but his answer was like that. What a really terrible service of hotel I remember.
