About Hôtel Aida Opéra, Paris

Quaint, affordable hotel in the quiet 9th arrondissement

Art and opera
Tucked away in Paris's quiet 9th arrondissement, quaint, affordable Hotel Aida Opéra is a 20-minute walk from the Louvre. For more high-brow fun, Palais Garnier, home to the Paris Opera (and hopefully no phantoms), is a little more than 1 km away.

Regal yet cozy
Hotel Aida Opéra has a warm, regal ambiance. Empire chairs and dripping chandeliers adorn the reception area. Buffet breakfast is served each morning in a cheery dining room off the lobby. Friendly, attentive staff get high marks from guests.

Free WiFi
Guestrooms, decorated in soft woods and bright colors, come equipped with large beds – triple and quadruple rooms are big enough for 4 people. Each room has free WiFi, along with a flat-screen TV. Need to get some work done? Request a room with a workstation.

Very Accommodating, Great Service
It was great, I was transferred by Hotels.com to Hotel Aida from another horrible hotel that cancelled when I showed up to check in, and Hotel Aida was wonderful with accommodation. There was construction going on, but hopefully all will be nice when it's complete.

A nice place to stay
This is an older hotel that is being upgraded somewhat. My room was "worn" to be nice about it. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. They have a nice breakfast and snacks are provided (free) in the afternoon. The location was actually pretty good. Plenty to see within walking distance. Subways are not too far of a walk to get you in the center of Paris for the major attractions or to transfer to a train to see things further out. It was a hike but I walked back to the hotel from Pont Neuf (40 min). There is a movie theater a few blocks away. A few small grocery stores and tobacco shops. There is even a post office less than 5 minute walk (to buy stamps, mail post cards). It wasn't luxury but it was a nice place to stay while in Paris

Remodel/construction was obvious. Some of the furniture was old and broken. Chairs were dirty. Stayed at better hotels for the same price in Paris before. Not bad if you need to find a quick stay as soon as possible.

Good area hotel needs an upgrade
Good area with lots of restaurants and bars. The room was a bit old and dated and there was mold in the bathroom. The staff was nice and friendly. The room was big for European standards but the ambience of the room wasn't great. I more than likely would not book here again as I prefer something a bit more modern.

Run Down hotel
Very run down, old and noisy hotel that needs MAJOR upgrades and not worth the money we paid. The lobby is ugly and the pictures posted do not even justify the real true about this hotel. Shop around before you book anything. The internet service is extremely slow, breakfast options are POOR not even worth to try. The rooms are small, the curtains do not cover the windows allowing the light to get thru. Be careful getting into the bathroom tub is soo high that you can fall and hurt yourself.
