It used to be good but now ????
Used to stay at Stamford when I came to Brisbane and liked it a lot. This time, the hotel is looking very tired and lack of spirit. Staffs are OK but not very warm welcoming. The big issue with us is the bed in the Story Bridge Suite is not level, it slide from the middle to the side which result not sleeping well at all ! The pillows are lumpy too.

Dreadful customer service
Unfortunately, the Stamford Hotel is no longer on my list of Brisbane Accommodation. 1. They never seem to pick up a call when you ring them. 2. I checked in, albeit early, and was told by Reception (who lacked any customer service skills) that my room was not ready and that she would ring me when my room was available. Nearly 3 hours later, I return to the Stamford and ask if my room was ready....to which I was told yes. When asked why I did not receive a call, she said they were very busy. I looked around, saw no-one waiting and it was definitely not busy. I asked the receptionist is this is indeed busy to which I received no reply. In short, she was simply too lazy to call when the room was ready. 3. Pav Bar - I ordered 2 cokes at $5.00 each. These were poured from a plastic 1.5 or 2 litre coke bottle that was sitting in the bench. These were flat and my wife and I didn't even drink more than a sip. Again, the two guys working at the bar did not acknowledge me and I have never seen worse customer service in my life, These two guys need serious training in customer service. 4. I was told that I could not park my vehicle at the Stamford because it was 2.2 metres high. Low and behold, a few hours later there was a "Ram" vehicle parked out the front of Reception...and it was there the following morning. When I queried why I could not park there, I did not get a reply. In short, I'm very disappointed with the Stamford and I will never go back there again
