Thai luxury and service at its best
Stunning hotel with impeccable service. A tranquil get sanctuary in the heart of all the hustle and hustle of the city. For a more modern feel, stay on the club side. For a more traditional Thai luxury experience, stay on the non-club side. Both are equally beautiful and offer something completely different.

Asian Beauty
One of my favorite hotels in the world. The lobby with exquisite flowers, the teak and Thai silk furnished rooms, the salt water pool, the morning buffet breakfast, the friendly, accommodating service. The staff knows your name. Also close to good restaurants and the night market. Everything is perfect.

A gem in Bangkok
The Sukhothai is a wonderful hotel. It is a truly unique experience in Bangkok. When you arrive at the hotel, you instantly feel that you have left a large city. The team of people that work at the hotel are amazing. I highly recommend the Sukhothai.

Very Good
Pick a quiet time to stay
Amazingly well-located, superbly designed hotel with spacious, luxurious accommodations all set in calm gardens. As a visitor over some two decades I have seen this delightful place, normally outside of school holidays and feasts. A gradual refurbishment of the pool area, and 'executive' wing along with a change of ownership in the past two or three years seems to have been aimed at increasing capacity. It was feeling full and even slightly under pressure with large family parties in the Collonade at a breakfast I far prefer when the place is at 25% capacity, than at 80%. The serene faultless breakfast service is one thing when there are 40 people, it is showing signs of stress at the current level of occupancy: to the extent that all the small customised orders do not come out reliably. In two four day stays, one in quiet late October - every coffee, mango, egg (or whatever) came quietly and as ordered; in the second week of December, at least half the orders were wrong. I really would not want to be there for the stresses of Christmas Day.
