Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Needs extreme updates to it. I will never stay at another econo lodge after this nasty stay.

Good for a home away from home for a few days.
I was only looking for a shower, bed and a TV. I was away most of the day and only came back to the room to shower and sleep. I don't even know if there was a pool. This was a good hotel for the price, but nothing outstanding in my opinion. I would stay here again.

Can't believe this is a Choice Hotel!
Normally do not write reviews, but I feel compelled to after my stay here. Returning home to NY from a motorcycle trip, 3 of us got caught in the rain. Tired, wet and cold, we decided to stop in Winchester. Considering it was a Sat night, was expecting to pay a bit more then usual, understandably. Check in was quick and easy and the receptionist very polite and helpful. This is where it quickly turns.... 1. The parking for the hotel is shared with a Dennys restaurant on one side, and overnight truckers getting some shut eye on the other. The parking lots are barely Illuminated; perfect for a vehicle break in or worse. If you park anywhere other then near the center of the building, expect to walk thru the lawn (which for me was uncut and wet) to get to the closest door into the bldg. 2. Did not realize this was a smoking room. Because of hour n avail., we were unable to switch. Let's just say, no single effort was made to even freshen the smell in the room. 3. Desperate to take a nice warm shower at this point... Entered the bathroom and was so turned off by how dirty the wall was and all the markings on it. Gross. As I go to turn the shower water on, the shower handle and fixtures are just about to come off the wall! Only good point was the water pressure! For 3 ppl staying in the room, we only got 2 bath towels. No hair conditioner, only shampoo. 4. Save yourself the aggravation, go right next door to Dennys!

No-frills, but reasonable.
We were making a long road trip and our stay was merely a place to sleep for the night, so we weren't looking for lots of amenities. This was fine for that purpose. When they say "no frills", they mean it, so don't book this Econolodge for anything more than a room. It was clean, and had what we needed.
