Grand Mercure Wellington, Wellington
A Pleasant Stay
Our stay was pleasant; the staff in particular were very helpful. The room was perhaps a little on the small side, but the bathroom was great, and it was otherwise a comfortable space. Altogether we spent seven nights here while attending a conference and seeing Wellington, and we enjoyed it.

Overall, the stay was great. The staff was great. The room was nice and clean. Comfortable bed. The only thing was that I could hear noises from outside the room. Some tapping and wall scratching noise.

Great room with a fantastic view of Wellington and peek of harbor. Excellent service! Valet left fresh bottle of water in car which was a pleasant surprise! Hint: Use the garage elevator to prevent tough walk uphill to hotel.

Very Good8.0
Central city location with good views
Great central location in the inner city easy to get to most places within walking distance including Cuba street. Very nice views of the city. Depending on your room and option chosen our room was quite small in size but if you plan to be out and about it is a good place to be. There are options for parking your car but $30 a night seems excessive but there are limited parking places for a car so consider this as you cannot park on the street as you may be towed away. The hotel should make parking free with its bookings as they offer free parking to dinner guests. Guess they value dinner guests more than people who stay in the hotel over night.
