I was disappointed in my stay at this hotel, and I am rarely disappointed enough to write a bad review... First, the room was not ready at the expected check in time. This was slightly disappointing, but I figured hotel was booked and needed extra time to turn rooms. Room I was finally given on the third check in attempt seemed to be "least preferred" one at hotel. It had a staircase leading down into a dark, cold room and faced another building with little natural light. Even with the heat on 24/7, the heat rose to the higher ceiling and never quite took out the chill. On top of this, other room comforts were less than ideal. Pillows were too soft, carpet old and thin, and the toilet paper came from a napkin dispenser contraption! It felt like indoor camping as absurd as that sounds. I feel like I was given a lower quality room for using a reduced rate compared to other guests. I was able to visit another room during my stay which had a different layout and was much more comfortable on appearance. The area around the hotel is very centrally located which was my main reason for booking. Wi-fi and hot water at least worked consistently. Front desk staff was nice and helpful with directions; housekeeping clueless about what is going on at hotel. Overall, the cons outweigh the pros and I would not stay at this hotel again.

Good location
Location is excellent! Hotel is a bit old but they are starting to re-model now. Only stayed 1 night and it was ok for what I needed. Barely stayed in the room.

Amsterdam trip 2018
The location was nice, however the hotel floor I was assigned to was being renovated....not only did I have to walk through a construction zone, but I woke up to the noise of the construction workers! The room was also out dated. I’m sure this place will descent upon completion of the renovation.
