Week in Berlin - Lovely stay at the Regent!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Regent Berlin. It is centrally located and right near the U6 underground line making it super convenient to travel or connect to other lines. The room was large and very comfortable for the 2 of us. It had 2 nice arm chairs for relaxing and 2 desk chairs so each of us could access our laptops if needed simultaneously. The bathroom was large and had a separate water closet. The Nespresso coffee maker in the room made a nice cup of coffee. Complimentary NY Times International edition delivered to the door each morning was a nice touch (There were several papers to choose from). Good closet space and a spacious mini bar. We used the mini bar to keep some cheese and cold cuts we purchased and there was room. We had breakfast several mornings and the buffet was typical of these hotels in Europe. Lots of muslei, breads, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt and fruit . Additionally they made eggs, omelets, waffles to order. We had a few drinks in the bar. It was lovely - not cheap! We did not try the main restaurant for dinner. We encountered one issue with a billing dispute over breakfast - but the front desk staff was great and resolved it after discovering the error. Very professional. The door men were lovely and always had a pleasant greeting. It was a treat to stay in this lovely hotel. We recommend it!

a lovely old world hotel
Everything about the Regent is lovely. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. The lobby and restaurants are quiet. Other than one glitch with our room assignment and subsequent follow up, the staff was always delightful

Five star in every way
Regent Berlin rates 5-stars in every aspect. Spacious bedroom with chair/ottoman and highly functional desk area with super convenient charging outlets complemented the top-flight bedding. Room lighting was excellent Bathroom was nearly all marble and exceptionally large with separate huge shower and bathtub. Hotel restaurant great but pricey. Tearoom/temporary bar in May 2018 really inviting. Service top class all around from doorman to bellman to reception to restaurant wait staff. Location near cultural and night life excellent. I haven't raved about a hotel like this for years!
