Good hotel - problems during remodel?
While room was nice and staff very nice we had unfortunate experiences with WIFI not working, no ice machines working(had to buy ice from gas station) and juice machine not working at breakfast.

Working on Renovations
The room was okay. The hotel is going through major renovations and the pool & hot-tub were closed, which disappointed the kids. The hotel has arrangements with the local YMCA though, so we were able to use their facilities at no cost, which was great! We've stayed here in the past, and will stay again in the future.

Nice and would stay again despite everything
It's a nice place but unfortunately the pool was closed for repairs and many doors near our room had signs saying closing for renovations etc as well. One set of stairs was still drywall etc so felt half finished.

The hotel was comfortable. Very good location. Room was clean. Breakfast was very nice. There was one incident that I needed to report to the general manager. The day I was leaving a young man wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up over his head came to my door at 9:15am knocking and said “housekeeping”. I did not feel comfortable opening the door so I said that I would be checking out that day. He knocked again and said “housekeeping” and I told him again that I was checking out that day. He stood outside my door and I asked him if there was anything else. I had to repeat it again and then he walked away from the door. He was not in a hotel uniform and my room was directly across from the stairwell. I called downstairs to the front desk and asked what time checkout was. She told me 11:00am. I explained to her what happened. She told me she would come up and check to see if it was one of their employees. She called me back a few minutes later and said it was. I Explained to her that I felt he should be wearing a uniform. She agreed and said that she would tell him. When I came down to check out I asked for a manager. The General Manager was there and I told him of the situation and let him know that this incident made me feel very uncomfortable security wise. I travel for work and am very security conscious. The manager apologized and said he would speak to the young man. Someone at the front desk should also be in attendance at all hours of the day which they wer not.
