I usually love this hotel. Unfortunately, this time was a disappointment. You know that feeling you get when you spend more than 500$ for a room and brunch and you leave feeling ripped-off?
We made the error thinking that breakfast was included, and we had brunch, which was not included, oh well >100$ later, it was very good, in a beautiful setting, but the service was so terrible. We were the only table occupied for the majority of the hour we were there, with three people working hard to not pay attention to us. The 12 dollar double cappuccinos tasted like they didn't replace the capsule in the nespresso machine. We had to ask for the mimosas 3 times, until they came 30 minutes after we were seated. The food was delicious otherwise, as you would expect for 50 $ each. And finally , when presented the bill, the staff insisted we pay cash because the charge to the room system was not working, I refused as I wanted to ensure that I received points for the meal. The system was working, it was just another unprofessional trick by this crew.
Also, be aware that if you book with any third party, and not directly on the IHG platform, you will not get any of your Ambassador (Platinum Elite) benefits.
