The rooms are very small and beds are very firm. Also not a lot of natural lighting. Service is pretty accommodating but not amazing. Cool location because it's so close to Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower. I would stay again, but in one of the larger suites on the top floor.

We loved it!!
Great hotel with lovely views of the Eiffel Tower. Enjoyed the quiet street it was on, no noise at all while we slept. the front desk gentleman who checked us in was very helpful as was the concierge who got our taxi upon checkout. Very close to so many tourist places. I was very impressed with the level of detail put into cleaning. I am very picky about this, so to impress me is a lot!

The most romantic French hotel
It was the perfect French hotel. Lobby, Salon and bar was exactly how I imagined it to be. Beautiful colors and decor. Even the classical music fit the scene. I felt like I was in a movie set.

Worth the price. Suites are much better.
This was our first time in Paris, and we were there for 5 days. Hotel Balzac is one block off Champs Elysees, and in a perfect spot. Close to the M1 (although you will walk uphill one block with luggage if you take the rail. Be prepared!) Service here was superb. I asked for a fan because there was quite a bit of noise coming from the closing of the door next to our room, and it was sitting in our room when we returned. The decor was oo la la, oh so French (luxury, not souvenir-tacky). The only disappointment was the room location. We checked in on a Monday, with 5 days booked, and not very many guests at the time. It was past 4:00. They gave us a lovely but small room, facing an inner courtyard with nothing to look at. I felt we should have been offered a room with a view. But I did not ask for one, so perhaps that is my own fault. Every wish I did ask for was granted. It's quite expensive, but you won't find a better value on a 5 star hotel in Paris, in my opinion.

charming, but small.
attentive staff. convenient location. charming. but rooms are small. concierge was ok! not necessarily the best!! The suites are very nice, which is what i had stayed my first time and the reason I came back. However, regular rooms are too tiny, not enough space for two people. super small closet. Bathrooms are descent. for the price, not sure if you are getting the best value, if yoy are staying in a regular room.
