Wonderful, welcoming and warm homestay!
I stayed with Carmen for a week and I had a wonderful time. Carmen genuinely cares for the people who stay with her and treats them like members of the family. Her space felt safe and relaxing after time spent in the chaotic city of Havana. Carmen is always willing to help any way she can even though she does not speak much English. On top of that, the breakfast she serves is delicious. Each day I began my morning with a feast of fresh tropical fruit, eggs and toast on her beautiful balcony overlooking the street below. At the same time, remember that this is a casa particular and not a luxury hotel. Be respectful of your host and remember that they are doing the best they can with the resources available to them.

The best and friendliest stay we had.
My wife and I made a trip to La Habana not knowing we were going to meet wonderful people. Instead we left Casa Carmen and Cuba with great friends. Guillermo, Seny and Sandra were very nice people and they treated us like one of theirs. They were very informative in every aspect and answered as many questions we had for them. We never felt like we were away from home because at Casa Carmen we felt right at home. We witnessed how Guillermo, Seny and Sandra worked so hard to assure not just me and my wife, but everyone staying at their house felt comfortable. We didn't take anything for granted. We appreciated all of their services, efforts and everything else they did for us and every other guests. For them, nobody was better or different. They treated everyon equally and with the same respect that distinguishes them. If I could rate Casa Carmen 100 out of 10, I would do it. We left so pleased and wishing to come back, and when we do go back, we are not going to stay anywhere else but at Casa Carmen as long as they are still there.
