Great location, friendly staff, good bar. Only quibble-- bathroom on the tight side.

Awesome location
Spent one night in Dublin before driving down the Coast. Picked location over hotel. Had a very small room with 2 twin beds. Beds were very lumpy, sagging into the middle. No extra amenities except gel soap. Very stuffy in the room so slept with open window. Did not eat in the hotel. There is an elevator to use. Adequate for one night after spending all day walking around Dublin. Truly great location.

Can't beat the price for the location
The Parliament Hotel was walkable to many of the main attractions in Dublin. About a 15 minute walk to the Guiness Storehouse and Jameson Distillery and 5 minute walk to Temple Bar area. The hotel is older and full of character. Also has a restaurant/ bar with musicians and Irish dancing.

Very small room. Since I was solo that worked out ok. My room view was the alley and although my room had pretty good soundproofing I could see where others maybe not. The good was that we were very close walking distance to shopping, sights seeing and on/off bus tours.

An OK place with some problems
This place has definitely seen better days. Now it is a bit rundown, requires better maintenance, and you can see it in the room, furniture, bathroom. The room was large, but quite depressing (it is better if you avoid the overhead lights and use just the bed lamps). The bedding was comfortable enough, but rather low quality. Single-glazed window let in the sounds of the street. There are night noises by drunks, but the worst is the noise of accelerating cars and trucks when the lights change: you can hear that throughout the night, for it's a busy street. Bothered me very much the first night, on the second I could sleep despite the noise: probably got very tired. Apart from the noise the location is fantastic: you go out and you are in the middle of Dublin, a few steps to Temple Bar, a few minutes walking to St. Stephen's Green, even closer to the castle, the cathedral. So overall it's a good deal if you don't want to spend much time in the room, and bring ear-plugs.
