I was delighted with the comfort of the room and the beautiful view. I would like to have been able to stay longer!

Daughter's 16th.
The pool was shut down for repairs. Was not informed before hand. Would have booked elsewhere. They decided to shut the power off at 11 PM to 4 AM one night. They informed us by putting a lamp on our door. The hotel restaurant was a bit stuffy. We ate there once, which was good. I like more laid-back though.

Valentine’s Getaway
Quiet, spacious, minimalist decor, understated botanical garden, underground secure parking, decent cafe, good room service coffee, fabulous view of the city looking toward the Empress hotel, great bathroom, and an easy an enjoyable walk to town or take a water taxi from a short walk in back of the hotel. This was a great winter trip in the off season. This pace in the summer would be gorgeous and swarming with tourists.

We will be back!!
We love this place !! This was our 3rd time here.We will be back! But this time our bathroom did not have a fan . A bit steamy ! And the heated towel rack was not working. But this does not mean we won’t be back! We lived that Santa found us Christmas morning!! Nice touch!!

Noisy Coporate Christmas Party!
We are a family of 4...2 adults, a 13 year old and a baby of 15 months. I guess 5 if you include our dog. We required a pet friendly room with 2 double beds, which the Laurel Point Inn was readily able to provide. I had called prior to booking on, to make sure that this room type was available. At no time did the hotel representative warn me or inform me that there was to be a large, corporate Christmas party, complete with live band, at the Laurel Point Inn the same evening we were to stay there, nor that it was going to be RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR WINDOW! When we checked in at the hotel, the front desk, knowing that we had a baby, also failed to mention this to us. We had had a loooooong day and just wanted to sleep and had we known what was about to happen, WE WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED AT THIS PROPERTY! I’m have no doubt that other rooms on the same floor and other rooms elsewhere in the hotel were just fine but our room, room 108, was most definitely NOT one of those. I know we have a pet and as such our room offerings are restricted but why on earth would you place a family with a baby right next door to a live band?!! This is where the hotel says “We’ll we have a room but....” Had we known, we could have easily booked a room at a quieter hotel or driven back up island and saved ourselves the heartache/earache! Word of warning: Beware your room choice during the holiday season. Corporate gigs rule at the expense of other guests at this time of year!
