Worst experience ever!
We lit the fire place and the smoke detector went off and the room was filled with smoke. No one came to check on us and the alarm wouldn’t go off even when we cleared the smoke by opening windows and the entry door. Finally I called the front desk and the staff yelled were turning off the alarms then hung up. Still no one cared if we burned to death. The next morning the staff called and said we see a signal for your alarm can we send someone to check it out. By then we were in the process of checking out. Had already stayed through the night. Mind you we had 5 kids in there and it was noted in the reservations.

The only downside was that they didn't have hand soap and their cribs are pack n plays(the mat for it was dirty from a previous babys use). But it's a great room and place for the price! Nice location too. Less than 10 minutes from everything

Rain Detour
We were travelling home to VA and were caught in a rain storm. Post-holiday traffic was heavy and visibility was poor, so we decided to stop for the night. The desk clerk was friendly and check-in was quick. Upon entering the room, we discovered that my beau, who is in a wheelchair, couldn't access the small bathroom. The front desk clerk was gracious and kind, finding us an accessible room. The room was spacious and easily accessible. The rooms feel more like an efficiency apartment than a hotel room. Full kitchen allows guests to cook their own food and there is a nice Giant grocery store just a few minutes from the property. The room had one queen bed with a pull-out sofa. The mattress on the pull-out was thin and uncomfortable. One could feel the hard springs through the mattress. We folded it up and my daughter slept on the couch. Clean linens for the pull-out sofa were on a shelf, but no extra pillows were provided. The queen bed was the perfect combination of soft and firm. The linens were soft and warm. We got a great night's sleep! The complimentary breakfast was hot and delicious. Omelettes, sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles, breads, oatmeal, and other options were available, with coffee, tea, juices, and milk to drink. All staff was friendly and kind, making us feel welcome and taken care of. This was our first stay at a Residence Inn and what a great first impression we had!
