This hotel is very run down. Elevator not working. Room smelled of cigarette smoke.

No elevators nor heating and cooling. Stay away!
One elevator was out of service and the other elevator did not respond to calls during my stay and I was on the 7th floor. The stairways were super busy as the elevator didn't work for anyone. The heating and cooling was not working in the room. The fan made lots of noise but blew only room temperature air no matter what you did with the thermostat. The hotel clerk acknowledge the problems after I checked out but that didn't help much. The building is being remodel but should probably be closed during the remodel rather staying open pretending their hotel is functioning properly. If you do decide to stay here they will pretend like the problems are a surprise but they are not. Minor issues included scratched up chaise in room and shredded sheer curtain. Newest set of owners have not done any maintenance and it shows. I am pretty busy so I don't write many reviews and stay at a fair amount at "" hotels (18 nights this year so far). I wrote this review as this hotel is in an egregiously bad state that it should not be on until they fix their building. If your reading this after the fact demand 100% of your money back from not $50 as that is what will be offered and note there were "no notes in their system excuse". Their reservation system is jacked up couldn't tell you what day of the week it is from their system let alone any "notes". Tell they need to do better too. They are asleep at the switch. Shame on you

Needs updating
Nice friendly staff. Good downtown location. It is in desperate need of updating!! Air conditioning didn’t really work. It was just bought out by Red Lion. Sounds like the plan is to begin remodeling soon.

Governor is good to go!
I read some reviews that the shower wasn’t good and the elevator wasn’t working. The water pressure was amazing and even the one elevator is broke the other one works just fine and we had no problem with the wait time. The longest we had to wait for the elevator was 30 seconds.
