Electrical issues in the pool/hotel poorly managed
This hotel is very poorly managed. We took our kids to swim upon arrival and the kids found a pool light that was floating in the water, hanging on by its electrical wire. The light was flashing on and off. We made our kids get out of the pool and called the manager. No one ever came. We canceled the rest of our stay and asked to speak to the hotel manager. No one ever even called. The room was gross, with stains on the carpet and maybe even gum smashed into it. The breakfast was not well stocked and really didn't taste as good as breakfasts provided at other hotels. It's a shame, because the building is really beautiful and this hotel could be really nice. We will never stay there again.

I can't believe this is a Hilton property
I've waited a week to give this review, but it hasn't changed my mind. What a dump. This is Motel 6 meets Embassy Suites. I truly can't believe this is in the Hilton portfolio. Let's start with the bathroom. Disgusting. I was in room 519. Every time someone on a floor above me flushed the toilet or took a shower one could very loudly hear the water rushing down inside the wall. Just gross. Beyond that, the furnishing in the rooms were cheap, the TVs dated, the general decor was abysmal. The elevators moved at a snail's pace. The "free" dinner time cocktail hour and food were pathetic. Night one, make your own nachos in a little cardboard bowl like one sees at a high school football game. Night two, the same with hummus. And scotch so bad I went to the store to buy my own. I usually love Hilton properties, and Embassy Suites in general. The one in Frisco, TX near Dallas is excellent. The one in Baton Rouge is not. Don't do it.

Worst hotel ever!!!
I will never stay at this hotel again. There were kids running around late at night.. The hotel was very noisy... The breakfast wasn't good.. The room was dirty the workers were complaining about being tried.. Which definitely reflected in the hotel..
