Delightful surprise
Needed a family friendly place convenient to the Kennedy Center. This hotel was a delight. An older building but well restored with classic fixtures. Large, comfortable rooms with a kitchenette. Walking distance to many of DC's monuments and museums. Expensive parking, but that's DC.

High class service at a bargain price in the Foggy Bottom district of DC...walkers will love the accessibility to the memorials, Washington monument, Smithsonian and Holocaust Museums. Great location for jogging and biking too!

Fine City Hotel
I visited D.C. with my girlfriend over the weekend. We stayed at the State Plaza due to its great location, it was minutes away from the mall and white-house. The hotel appeared modern decor and the room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It was annoying that the room did not have a mini fridge, but the hotel was very good at supplying ice to our room. The hotel had a valet service and parked our car for us, which not a problem with me. However, the most annoying part is that the parking was scattered throughout different areas of the hotel, and out vehicle was parked on the complete opposite side of our room. Also, we couldn't just grab miscellaneous items from our car, we had to be accompanied by hotel staff for any trip to our car which was very annoying. Overall, though there were some things that i found inconvenient, our stay overall was very satisfying due to good service clean and spacious rooms.

Wonderful hotel to stay in that is close to everything. We booked two rooms for one night as we were attending a performance at the Kennedy Center with my parents. Both rooms were lovely, very spacious, and comfortable. I slept so soundly and the bed was a dream. The location was so close to the Kennedy Center and just a short cab ride from Georgetown for some drinks. We were thrilled and will definitely stay here again!!

State Plaza Hotel is excellent
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. I was surprised at how large the room was and that it had a full kitchen. I was able to go to a grocery store and save money by not eating out. Every hotel staff member I came in contact with was extremely courteous and helpful. The best thing about the hotel is that it is walking distance from the National Mall, White House, and Arlington National Cemetery. It is easy to get an Uber (under 2 min wait) and is also close to the metro. There is also a CVS, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and Whole Foods near buy for added convenience.
