Would Come Back in a Heartbeat!
Could not have been happier with the Eliot Hotel. It is in the Back Bay but convenient to the "T," Fenway Park, and excellent restaurants and shopping. The restaurant in the hotel is fantastic. The rooms are suites and are just perfect for resting and relaxing but not having to sit in bed to watch TV!

Hotels.com specials read fine print before booking
Not what I had expected I booked this through Hotels.com as it was advertised. I was really looking forward to it however when I got there the booking was for a double bed not a king or queen. The only room they had with a double was on the ground floor (my opinion a basement room). It was ok in terms of decor, your outside window was a view of an AC unit or heating system, the shower was small not allot of room & there was very limited shelf space for personal toiletries. Lesson learned just because Hotels.com is advertising a special rate be sure to read the fine print....

Make sure to get receipt
This hotel is conveniently located at the end of newbury street and that's only good thing about this hotel during my stay. This hotel is 1) outdated, 2) not clean, and 3) may charge you extra without you knowing. We got a room at this hotel for $350 including tax for a saturday night. the room was small and outdated and the air conditioner was not working when it was 90f outside. the maintenance guy came in to checked the AC and took out a disgustingly HUGE dust padded filter.. He shook out that dusty filter and the ac looked like it was working okay. we came back from dinner, and i realized there were weird orange stains all over kn the blanket. At that point I was sooo tired that i decided to sleep on that stains, but the ac was making so much noises that i could barely sleep. I woke up in the morning feeling still tired, but hey i was in boston to have fun so I was still trying to stay positive and get my day going. We checked out, no one offered us receipt or told me how much was the total.. I was just assuming 350, which was the rate we book for. A few hours later, i found out the hotel charged us $100 extra. At that point i really had enough of the nonsense in that hotel and i was happy to leave them hoping that the manager i spoke to did his job correctly this time. Long story short, if you are looking for a decent place to stay in boston, this hotel is not what you are looking for. Stay somewhere else and save your time and money.

Great staff and location, a few cons for the price
Staff and location of hotel were excellent. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Room was small, but well appointed and super clean and worked ok for the amount of time you spend in the room. Cons were the bed was very uncomfortable and we went to use the minibar and it was warm, later discovered on our own that it had been unplugged. Also, felt like because it was a busy weekend we were stuck in a room where staff might sleep if they stay over for an extra long shift...end of the hall on the lobby floor looking out into a tiny pipe alcove, felt like we were in the basement. I might not have minded the cons of the price had fit, but being jacked up to $400 ($50 for parking) I felt a little gyped.

Great Hotel
Amazing experience at the Eliot. I had an emergency with my apartment and needed a place to stay for one night. Given the overall quality of the hotel, this place had a great rate. The room was one of the most comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. Overall, I recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay in the Boston area.
