    perfect location, lovely staff
Great facility right near the water. There's a mineral-heated pool to enjoy and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I would stay there again any time I visit Rotorua.

    Great Location!
The only minor negative thing is that they charged $10 a day for WiFi. However, if you sign up for their free loyalty program, then WiFi is free. Would’ve been nice to know that at the beginning of our stay. I was able to sign up as we were checking out and they removed the charges. Beds were comfy and the hotel is in a great location. Lots of dining and shops and an awesome free geothermal park within walking distance

    Poor choice for Rotorua
This is not a good place to stay. Worn out facilities in need of renovation, poor maintenance, poor staff, poor management. Very poor breakfast - sorry to have included it and paid extra for it. Made us sick (the runs). Some of the staff downright rude, most of the staff have no desire to satisfy their customers.

Horrible worn shabby hotel with poor staff
What a messed up hotel - it's old, shabby in need of renovation and I think VERY poorly managed. Booked with the breakfast and the breakfast is HORRIBLE - they should be ashamed to serve such a breakfast. Not at all worth it. Almost would forego the prepaid shabby breakfast and pay for something decent outside. At checkin, I got so upset at the unhelpful employee telling me I would have to check out and check in again. Housekeeping almost non-existent ignoring the door sign to make up the room (had to request after-hours 'reduced' housekeeping service) and then on last night, they said it wasn't on their list to do. The breakfast buffet has a horrible 'liquid instant' coffee machine - but you can request brewed coffee from waitstaff - except the rude supervisor telling my partner that only the first coffee is included, if you order a second, you have to pay. What a joke. The room facilities are well worn - carpet faded and worn out, bathroom all worn and toilet leaks/runs. Yet, this place stays nearly fully booked. As long as people will pay and put up with this sub-standard mess, I guess there's no reason for them to improve. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Not Up To Standard For The Money
Hotel in general, good. Staff, good. However you can sense the place is working. Firstly breakfast. It's good but you need better management of the buffet. Most the selection too cold at 9am. Bacon, hash browns, cold. Boil eggs all cracked and cold. On checking out, you tried to charge me for the room at higher than agreed rate, tried to charge us breakfast, yet all was prepaid. A simple mistake? I think not. The hotel is in a great location and the staff all seem nice. What is lacking here is solid management with old school skills. Hope you iron out the kinks and then you will have a great hotel.
