Perfect location on the historic square/park that includes Parliament House. Very walkable to all the major things to see, including the primary shopping and entertainment street. Hotel is in wonderful shape - Art Deco details are impressive. Major downside is lack of parking which to be fair is difficult for any hotel in the old part of town.

Lovely old hotel
My wife and I spent a very comfortable 3 nights in Hotel Borg. It is a lovely old Art Deco-era hotel, and has been beautifully renovated in keeping with the original style. It is ideally located in the heart of downtown Reykjavik. We found it comfortable and quiet; just what we needed after 32 hours of travelling.

Great Grand Dame
Beautiful old grand hotel on the best open space in the old downtown of Reykjavik. Reminded me of the Angleterre and the Plaza. Art deco interiors. Great rooms. A pleasure after the ring road to spend two nights there.
