Pleasantly surprised…
We were very surprised at how nice the room and bathroom was considering it was only £65 per night per room. The landlady had gone to exceptional lengths to make our stay comfortable. Although old and in need of an update, the sheets were clean the bathroom spotless (views from the bedroom where amazing) the location just literally outside the train station was very handy. No frills, but we didn’t expect any. Pleasantly surprised overall.

We stayed at Queens Rooms because it was competitively priced and were well satisfied. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our room. The room was equipped with tea and coffee facilities and also with plates, bowls and cutlery, and sachets of porrage. We would be happy to stay there again and recommend it . But be aware that the rooms are on the second floor and up to flights of steapish stairs, so are not suitable for people with significant mobility issues. The interesting old building is gradually being renovated.

It wouldn't be fair to comment on the overall property as there were building works going on in the downstairs public areas and exterior. But my room was clean, warm and quiet with crockery & cutlery plus masses of hot drinks & porridge sachets provided in lieu of breakfast, so I was quite happy
