Tight quarters and strangely aligned room to fit today's facilities. But staff were nice. Car park was convenient (and free)!

Nice old style place, comfortable.
We've stayed here before and like the place. It's quite old but has been renovated to a good standard. It could not be nearer the centre of town, and of course is right next to the station. The rooms are quirky shapes due to the old building and slightly small but pretty good. Food is expensive - tip - get breakfast at Wetherspoons across the road for half the price of the hotel!

Remodeled and very clean
Very good. The room was recently remodeled and very clean. Large bathroom. Very quiet. plenty of lights and outlets. Convenient to the train and light rail, and at the bottom end of the main shopping street. Full service restaurant and bar onsite. Nightclubs in the building and nearby but not noisey. The only downside was that I would not consider the hotel to be very handicap friendly. No ramps for the front door so you have to carry your bags up two sets of stairs to get to the front desk. The room was not all on the same level so you had to step up to get to the closet and bath. There may be another way in but there were no signage to that effect. I did not ask about handicap rooms

Travel lightly if you stay here!
It was supposed to be a second-floor room, but I had to ascend two flights of stairs with luggage after getting off the elevator on the 2nd floor. Room 231 was the "second floor room on the fourth floor."
