Never have I been so disappointed with a self-catering holiday property. First, we were greeted on arrival by the next door neighbour in his underpants having a smoke on his doorstep. That smell of cigarettes and other aromas which were not standard tobacco were something that we would have to get used to as it permeated the whole property all week. (This is quite ironic as there are signs all over the property saying it is smoke free.)
The property is described as four star. What they neglect to mention is that the road where the property is located is strewn with rubbish and dumped items. It is rough.
The property had only been ‘skim-cleaned’ and no-one had taken the time to hoover behind doors or move furniture – there were dust balls everywhere.
The kitchen was poorly equipped and badly put together, there were damp and peeling patches throughout. The shower faucet drips constantly, the outside space was in a terrible state and very few of the internal doors closed - including the bathroom door!
All in all - yes, this is a great spacious place, but that is the only positive thing I can say about it. The management company were very responsive and did what they could to fix the things that they could, but for what we paid, we were hugely disappointed and do not recommend this property at all.
