About this cottage
This cottage will give you the feel of living in the past but you will still have all the comforts of home. Just steps from the tennis courts, playground and walking trails. This cottage is what you desire if you crave the authentic feel of 100 years past. Thin walls, creaky floors and narrow steps are just a few of its charms . Remember to bring your Netflix passwords & fire sticks for fast wireless internet connection. Cottage is cleaned and sanitized after each visit. Don’t forget there are many attractions very close by including Hershey Park, Dutch Wonderland and the PA Renaissance Fair & Winery. Not to mention you are steps away from the walking trails of Governor Dick Park, the Gretna Playhouse, mini golf, a roller rink and the famous Jigger Shoppe ice cream parlor... and some wonderful eateries and restaurants. There is something going on almost every night including plays and live music. There is also a magnificent lake so close you can see it from the porch. Mount Gretna, Butterfly Cottage
This property served the perfect place for our family of 4 adults to enjoy an autumn weekend getaway. The community is quiet and walkable with a rail trail and plenty of hiking nearby. We also enjoyed touring Cornwall Furnace, only a few miles away. The property was spacious indoors and out with all amenities as listed on the site and even more! We were given a bottle of local wine & a bag of chocolates, the beds were comfy and we had everything we needed in the way of kitchen and household supplies.

Magical
This was our first time in Mount Gretna and we were completely captivated! Butterfly Cottage was so lovely, and had the perk of street access and parking while so many of the other houses don’t. The home was clean and cozy - comfortable beds and sofas and no weird smells that always seem to accompany houses in the woods. It definitely has the charm of an old house and thin walls - if you are wanting significant privacy from your traveling companions, this is probably not the home for you, but for our girls weekend we absolutely loved the quirks. Kitchen and bathrooms are updated, water had great pressure and was hot. Convenient location to walk to Porch + Pantry and just about anywhere in Mt Gretna. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Highly recommend!

Amazing place to stay
Probably one of the nicest, cleanest places I have stayed, in a long time. The host provided clear concise, easy to follow instructions for the property. Provided a binder of places to visit and activities to do in the local area. Checked in with us to ensure there were no issues. My family enjoyed the Butterfly Cottage the entire time! Would definitely stay at the property again!

Enjoyed the stay. Comfy conditions for a couple because of seating arrangements. Wished a second rocking chair was on the porch! The backyard area would be great in the summer for eating outside! Thankful for the stand-up shower and W/D. Will book again when in the area.

Wonderful stay
We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the property was. And while walls were thin, we knew that going in, and it didn't bother us. We enjoyed sitting on both the patio and the covered front porch and the owner was quick to answer a few questions. We would gladly stay again.
