The room could do with refurbishment. No plug sockets near the bed. There was a single available socket under the TV, which is pretty inconvenient if you’re a couple sharing. There were far fewer sunbeds than there were people staying at the hotel, so unless you queued up in the morning before the pool area opened, you had zero chance of getting a sunbed. There was no vanity kit in the bathroom, which, for a supposedly four-star hotel, is disappointing. The shower gel pump dispenses a tiny amount each time, requiring you to pump it several times to get any reasonable amount to use. The gel itself was thin and didn’t lather at all sufficiently. There was a reasonable breakfast selection, although the quality of the pastries was not great; the coffee was terrible. Cereals were not great, although the yoghurt was decent. I didn’t eat dinner here and would not choose to based on the breakfast quality. The hotel overlooks the sea, and all rooms have a balcony. The noise from the strip overlooking the hotel caused sleep disturbance, so if you’re a light sleeper, I would suggest a different hotel. In summary: I would not choose to stay here again and cannot recommend it. It is not a four-star hotel in my view.

Budget friendly hotel

If its location you are looking for this hotel is right in amongst all the bars, restaurants and right on the sea front. The hotel itself is dated, but for the price it was comfortable enough. Superb staff. Excellent breakfast choice. Pool area can get busy, but the sea is on your doorstep.

Not the best hotel, probably due to its location

The hotel is dated and not upto Melia standards. For theall inclusive drinks you are given a token that gives you a cup. You then go back with your cup for a refill when your drinks finished. At the end of the day you give your cup back and they give you your token back for the next day. This is a poor system and not Melia standards. The rooms ( we had 3) had 1 plug socket on the floor ( mine was hanging off). So putting your phone on charge, putting the kettle on etc, all needed to be done on the floor while removing the other plug. The sunbeds are saggy and need renewing, the hotel needs modernising to the standards of the other Melia ones.

Great stay and service only let down by decor!

As a family, we received a nice warm and friendly welcome upon our arrival. We enjoyed the hotel's close location to the beach and other local amenities. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment provided, I participated in the daily outdoor well-being classes and we both enjoyed the variety of options available for our daily breakfast. Our stunning sea view room was above the entertainment stage and local night clubs but we didn't mind. The house keeping team were great, very polite and kept our rooms clean and tidy - making beds, changing towels, sweeping and mopping floors daily. However, the overall decor of our room was tired. We found the beds uncomfortable and discovered cockroaches in our room on three separate days. Admittedly we did not report this because for one, we know the critters are naturally present in hot climates (we saw them outside all over the over island); Two, we deterred more turning up by leaving the bathroom and hall lights on at night and keeping the balcony door closed. We believe they originated from the bathroom's old fashioned, poorly designed, gappy and very dusty perforated suspended ceiling. The hallway had a bare-thin, heavily soiled and odorous carpet that would be better served being replaced by tiles. Only made worse when a neighbour had vomited on it one evening. Should the decor be improved to meet the overall good level of customer service we received, we would definitely consider Sol Tenerife again when in Tenerife.

Only stayed one night and had an ocean front view room which was lovely. As a non smoker you could tell that smokers had been in the room as it smelt of stale smoke which was rather unpleasant. Any longer and I would have had to change rooms. Room had a mini fridge so no coffee or milk available but had a kettle. Location is ideal and at the start of Veronica strip which is great as it’s very convenient for beach, restaurants and nightlife. Very busy hotel but very organised at reception and pool bar. Couldn’t cope with all those guests for a week !

This hotel was nice and clean. The noise from the night clubs is real! The rooms are not very sound proof. The location is very central and convenient. There are many restaurants and shops close by. Lots of pool chairs available and two pools. Our morning walks had the beautiful backdrops of mountains on one side and the ocean on the other but we constantly had to step over broken glass, garbage, vomit and other unpleasant things! So sad that the tourists are so incredibly disrespectful of the Island.

This is not a 4 * hotel. It is very noisy due to being beside Veronicas so take ear plugs if you won’t be out partying all night. Rooms badly need modernised, was there 4 nights and killed 6 cockroaches in my room, asked reception if they had a spray I could use to kill them but they didn’t have anything. Breakfast was good with plenty variety, pool area is too small for the size of the hotel, takes ages to get served at the pool bar.

Very noisy during the night. Good pool area.

We couldn't sleep due to the extreme noise from the clubs surrounding the hotel. It was more than very loud until earliest 4am and in the weekend until 5-6am. That is the big minus with this hotel. Except of the noise it is a good hotel. The pool area is good and good heated pool to a nice temperature - not to hot. It is just outside the ocean and have a beautiful sunset. Staff is good and the breakfast is fine. Room is fine as well. If you are in Tenerife to party it is a perfect hotel. If you wanna rest I wouldn't recommend you booking your stay at this hotel.

Very bad first impression

Arrived early to hotel. Was given one of the oldest rooms in the hotel from the day hotel was built. Bad air in room, poor air condition. Went back to reception desk to ask for different room. Asked if all the rooms were the same and was told "yes". When we were given a new room in different tower, a better, cleaner, more confortable room. Food was not great and there were waterbugs in the lobby. Very disappointed. Would not recomand.

Anbefales ikke om man skal på kjæreste tur, for å lappe av å kose seg. Hadde ikke sjekket ut hvor dette hotellet var plassert, midt i PARTY gaten, full fart fra morgen til langt ut på morgen timene. Fikk ikke sove pga all støy fra gatene og veldig lytt fra andre rom rundtom. Kommer nok ikke til å booke rom her igjen, dette er hotell for ungdommer som liker å feste døgnetrundt.
