Nice inn in Clayton
This is a nice little inn, definitely not a big chain hotel. It is quaint and fairly comfortable. It's location is a huge plus--right in the middle of the Clayton financial district. One change I would make is to have the fan in the bathroom operate (or allow us to open the window). There is a fan in the ceiling of the bathroom but it is for show, not blow (or exhaust). And the window is painted shut.

Won’t be back
Maybe it was because there was a wedding party going on, plus a Saturday night, but our stay was rather disappointing. Upon arrival, there was no clearly defined checkin area, I only found it by walking further back into the hotel. I was not greeted, I had to ask where the reservation desk was - I found it. Then, since I made the name in my husbands name, HE had to come in - mind you there is only valet parking. So he came in, we got the room key and were told we could self park in the lot across the street or let them park for you. We figured it’s right across the street, we would. No spots open, no signs for options, so I called. Was told we could park out front (where we just left from) and they would park the car. We settled into the room, realized we only has one channel on the tv that worked (would tell them when we got back) and went back down to go out for the evening. The car was still out front, but the valet was no where to be found. After we finally found the receptionist, she called him from her cell. Finally got the keys and left. Upon our return we left the keys with the receptionist in the very loud hallway between the bar and reception, since the valet was no where to be found, and asked that someone come fix the tv due to only one channel. Well we checked out the next morning and never heard from anyone. Room was ok but was really damp and smelly from not having had the AC run.

Hotel room floor was never vacuumed and had hair on bedroom floor. I got a premier room with a city view, because in reviews it said it was newly renovated in 2016. The view I had was of courtyard and alleyway. The back stairwell had towels and food left on the floor for the 2 nights I was there. I barely saw anyone at the front desk. I wanted to request that my room be cleaned, but was unable to find anyone at the checkin desk in the morning or when I returned in the evening. In the room there is a small coffee maker, but they didn't provide cups for coffee to dispense in. The breakfast was good, but there were no coffee cups first day and no plates second morning. I usually don't write reviews, but I feel that the price I paid and quality of hotel were not congruent. I was very disappointed with this hotel.

Once was enough!
Unfriendly staff; dirty entrance; no elevator. Room service was very sloppy. Had to log on to wifi every time we turned on the device. Awful breakfast.

Comfy bed, just needs renovation
Bed and climate of room was comfy. This Inn is in major need of renovation. Needs new carpeting throughout, and updating.
