Close to plenty of restaurant options, walking distance to beach, view was as described from our room, parking on site, felt safe, friendly beachside bar atmosphere even in rain. Large pool was clean but closed when lightning was spotted for awhile.

Beautiful location. We had an oceanfront room. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety. Friendly staff. We weren’t there long enough to use the amenities but the ones we saw look great, beautiful pool with waterfall, beach front bar.

Exceeded my expectations
This hotel encompasses everything I was looking for in a beach hotel where two 55+ people can enjoy a relaxing vacation. The pool was wonderful. We stayed in room 412 which had a nice view of the beach and the pool, a perfect combination. The beachfront bar and Tides Restaurant is very convenient if you don't feel like leaving the property for a meal or drinks. Note: they charge $50 a day "Damage deposit" and there is a $15 per day parking fee. The damage deposit is refunded less the parking fee if the room isn't damaged during your stay. There is plenty of parking. The hotel is in a more residential area so it's quiet but it's close to restaurants, Walmart, walk-in clinic, anything you might need. I enjoyed driving down A1A down to St. Augustine. It's a very pleasant hour long drive near the coast. This is the only hotel I would recommend for a stay in Jacksonville Beach. I'm ready to go back anytime.
