The room we went to was dirty and there was hair in our bed and food on the floor . I had to be asked to switched to a clean room. Above the ice maker in the hallway the ceiling was caving in from what looked like a bad leak . The lady who checked us in was nice . We had breakfast the next day and our waitress was amazing

Parking lot not plowed at all. Being handicapped very disappointed especially for a holiday inn. The remote didn't work for the TV. The phone didn't work. Had to use my personal phone to call the desk. Room could have been cleaner.

SEVERELY Understaffed
This hotel needs help. They are severely understaffed and I'm not even sure how they are operating and why they're open. They have a restaurant and bar downstairs; out of the last two business stays for me and my co-workers, the kitchen was either closed or operating a skeleton crew that wasn't able to keep up (it took over an hour to get a breakfast order). During this most recent visit the rooms only had decaf coffee and when we asked for regular, we were told they were out. Each of us were asked to provide our credit card at check in; we were told it was only for the $25 incidental fee that would be refunded as long as there were no issues with the rooms at checkout. We asked for those credit cards to also be used to pay for the rooms. Only my room was charged to my card and my boss' credit card (which was used to hold the original reservation) was charged for everyone else's rooms. Not sure where the disconnect was. While the hotel is new and nice to look at, they are SERIOUSLY lacking in staff. I feel for the people who are working there because everyone is working hard, doing jobs of other staff members. We'll be using a different hotel during our next stay in Grand Rapids.
