First time at Atlantis!
I've always wanted to go to Atlantis and finally we got to go! My husband and I had the best time. Everything was great. The hotel was nice and the bed was comfortable, also very quiet. One of the lamps next to the bed didn't have a light bulb in it, but we never ended up calling to mention it. The hotel is older style, but we knew that and it felt comfortable. We didn't feel the need to stay in a fancier part of the Resort or spend a lot more as we were barely in the room except to sleep and shower before dinner. The resort was amazing. We spent most of our time going to feedings for the various sea life and the aquariums as well as on the water slides. We also went to pools at the Royal, Coral, and The Beach, and overall the Beach was our favorite one. Very quiet, but huge, relaxing, and beautiful beach right there.

Horrible and deceptive marketing!!
I called the hotel before booking with the number in my party. I was told the room sleeps 4 and if we need can request an additional bed for a charge for a child. So I booked. But when I reached the property the front desk lady (Ms. Minorka) was least bothered with the fact that the hotel told me on the phone that it would be ok. They charged me an extra $165 per person. Then the lady was not even kind enough to tell us how to get to the rooms and what was included in the whole price. The property being so big, she didn't even bother to give us a map of the property and how to get to our room. We reached the room there was a wet spot on the bed, it took us 3 calls and 3 hrs later someone came to change the sheet. The coffee maker was not working, it took us 5 calls and 4 hours later someone showed up with coffee maker. The front desk lady was not even kind enough to tell us what the password for wifi. The hold on the room went up from $250 to $450 without any notice. There are many other hotels with better price and service in the area. Especially, the kindness and politeness that the front desk showed, I would never go back to this hotel. I was getting a much better deal at the Melina hotel.

Go for a day or 2, just for the water park, then m
It's a big, impersonal, aging and slightly dilapidated resort with liberal amounts of peeling pain and cement rot around the pools, combined with the construction noise that comes from one of the hotels having its balconies replaced. The rooms and balconies at The Beach were lovely and the grounds are mostly well tended but the sour initial impression of left by over booked rooms and required negotiation to get what I paid for is difficult to overlook. We moved to another hotel after 4 days and were very very pleased we did.

Very Good8.0
Amazing trip but.....
Beach tower was comfortable but in no way luxury..we didn't have hot water in our shower until the last day and the property definitely can use some repairs and a face lift. I'm sad to see the messes that some guests leave and equally sad to see that no employees appear to be in a hurry to clean up behind them. Overall, I feel that i still got a great deal. I love the people of the Bahamas and will continue to support their economy by enjoying their beautiful beaches and culture.
