Good savings, but more bare bones than expected.
Check-in was a little rough. The receptionist had my reservation and after checking in, called to say there was a problem with payment. I had to show him my card was charged when the reservation was made. Part of the booking was for provided breakfast, but the receptionist explained the hotel was changing contracts and so would not be providing it. Did not care for the hallway that appeared to have smokers while en route to my nonsmoking room. I'm easy for comfort, but would have liked a little better in having my son with me.

No sleep.. No R&R
The property is very old. There are absolutely no updates since 1980. The air quality in the hotel is horrible and has a pungent odor unsatisfactory to the nose. The towels were not clean and white as they should be and the bathtub wasn’t fit for my dog as I didn’t take a shower. The bed was very hard and the pillows were of poor quality and I slept with a towel over the pillows after adding cologne to them for my own comfort. Yes I slept fully clothed!! The tv had poor reception and was snowy after getting batteries for the remote. The guy at the front desk has no manors and very poor customer service skills. He informed me to not book online because it cost on average $20 more had I checked in in person. Oh and I almost forgot that many rooms are occupied by long term renters and the police were called to have someone evicted. To say the least I will never stay there again

Honestly this place was weird from the moment I walked through the door. It has brightly led lit surveillance cameras all over the place that makes me feel unwelcome. Plus the guy at the front desk (in camo with a nondescript camo officer uniform, not sure if he's the owner) was just generally unfriendly and offputting. I got to my room and the air conditioner wasn't working and neither was the insanely outdated microwave. So I had to get the guy and another employee (who was much nicer) to fix the air conditioner because I have sleep apnea and asthma, and need it to sleep. So the batteries in the remote got swapped out. But for some reason the temperature set was super cold an unable to be set higher. Oh, and no heat settings either. As far as the microwave instead of grabbing me a new one, or offering another room, the guy at the desk insisted I sit in the lobby and use their microwave down there instead. So, I took a seat microwaved my food, and had that intrusive camera pointed right at me. The bright LED light illuminated and pointing right at me like I'm some kind of criminal while I ate. The guy at the desk tried to assure me the place is safe, but his much nicer and more honest coworker told me there was a decreased staff because a lot of former employees stole things. So I emptied the contents of my car, and carried them up multiple flights of stairs (yeah no elevator) to my room. Terrible. Never going back.

Nothing like description/photos
The hotel looks NOTHING like the photos. There is no bar, the pool is so green I’m sure there’s critters living in it, our room had water damage all over the walls, the vent on the ceiling was missing bolts and hanging down. There is no bar or restaurant any more, staff was nice, but I would not stay here again, it was extremely underwhelming. Do yourself a favor and book a different hotel in the area because this one is NOTHING like the photos & it looks and feels like you’re staying at a cheap motel in a bad area.

The building is run down and honestly pretty gross. The front lobby reaked like weed and is a pretty sketchy place. I wouldn't recommend staying there. On a lighter note, the room was fairly clean and surprised me after seeing the rest of the hotel.
