Nice place and good staff, noise, water pressure..
I like the mosser, service and people there are great. place is clean including shared bathroom and shower. the bigggest problem was room on south side was too hot, so i open window, then too noisy to sleep. earplugs provided made it better, but it is over a loading dock so still a bit too much. Also the shower water pressure is too low, this could easily be fixed i think. I would likely stay here again

Focus on how much money you are saving
Mosser is just off Market Street and steps away from the Moscone Center--perfect for attending a conference or convention. I did not mind the shared hall bath and restroom (there was a sink in the room), which were clean and there was never a wait. However, my room, which was on the 5th floor and had a small window facing the street, was surprisingly noisy. This must be why the hotel includes a packet of bright orange earplugs next to the soap and other cosmetics. Because the rooms have no air conditioning I left my room window open the first few nights for fresh air, but I was constantly woken up by all kinds of crazy noises at night--garbage trucks emptying dumpsters, vehicles driving in and out of parking garages, earth-moving equipment moving earth...who knows what can possibly produce so much noise in a city in the middle of the night? I resisted putting in the earplugs (how will I hear the fire alarm in this old Victorian hotel, should it go off in the middle of the night?), but I didn't sleep very well until I made one simple adjustment on my final night: Close the window. This was surprisingly effective, and running the fan made the room less stuffy. The room was very small. The bed has no headboard, but instead has a "sideboard", so if you like to read in bed, it is awkward. I survived my stay, but the best thing about the hotel apart from the excellent location was telling myself as I lay awake at night how much money I was saving.

Old San Francisco
The hotel was typical of the type constructed a century ago.The rooms are small,no air, ceiling fans, possible common bathroom etc.classic for that period.Since we are both old,we enjoy the nostalgia of staying in such a place. The coffee was good, the continental breakfast adequate, the location great and the price was right.

Great location!
Nice and comfy place. Walking distance to the Moscone Convention Center as well as shopping centers, restaurants and union square. Wine down Friday's is great too

Nice night before work started
This was a one night fun night prior to a conference in San Francisco. The location is right downtown with access to everything you want in this area and the metro to anywhere else. Went to the MOMA - two blocks away. This is a low cost option, but it felt very safe and clean. Shared bathroom and shower. Your room is small. The price made it worth it.
