Poor customer service
Check in guy was very rude for no reason. Like he was having a bad day and taking it out on us. Room was very small and had one tiny window in the corner. Beds were too small for two people. Bathroom was the size of a small closet. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine with two glasses even though the reservation was for four people. They did not supply a bottle opener. I called down for one and they told me that it was never returned so they didn’t have one in the hotel. They told me I needed to go buy one. I went to Serafina downstairs and asked them to please open it for me. I then went back to the front desk of the hotel and was met by the same rude guy. I told him that I should not be told to go buy a bottle opener for my complimentary wine and the hotel should have gone out and bought one and provided it to me. He did not seem remorseful or apologize for his actions. The other person at the desk was very nice and apologized he felt badly. I would not stay at this hotel again or recommend it.

great location away from the crowds
I chose the hotel for the location in Tribeca, away from the hustle and bustle of Midtown and especially Time Square, which I try to avoid at all costs. The hotel was clean and nicely appointed (Frette sheets, robes and towels). There was a charming old map of Tribeca on the shower tiles. The room was small, but not unusually so for New York. I was with a friend, so we liked the option of having two beds. The location is close to numerous subway lines, and walking distance from everything you’d want to see in lower Manhattan. We walked to the Village, Battery Park, WTC site, and City Hall. Though it’s a quieter area, there are plenty of restaurants, coffee places, etc. nearby. I highly recommend it if you want to be away from the crowds.

Clean and Safe
Overall clean safe and in a nice area. I would stay again. We upgraded to the Junior Suite and I know rooms in NYC are small but it was a basic size room in my opinion. The pullout was not comfortable but the bed was. We had to ask for linens even though they knew 4 guests were staying. Same with towels-there were only 2 for four of us. Overall a nice place. Quiet and very professional staff.

Do Not Stay Here
Sent two emails prior to our arrival to request something special for my daughter's Birthday - Never heard back from the hotel staff. Rude desk clerks upon check in, treated us like they were really doing us a favor by letting us check in! The Tiniest room I've Ever stayed in - No place to store clothes or luggage - had to step over suitcase to get to bathroom and exit room. No coffee on site - went to restaurant next door and was charged $9.00 for terrible coffee. Blow dryer didn't work properly - requested replacement - never sent. Addressed issues with hotel - never followed up. Finally at check-out talked with Manager and he said "Sorry - I was off when emails were sent!" Would Never stay here Again. LOTS of other good choices in the area. The only positive about this hotel is Location.

Good 6.0
Great location. Nice that it has a restaurant. As everyone else has said, the rooms are smaller than portrayed. Much smaller. The carpet in the room was dirty. I was pleased to find our room had a bathtub, Which was not guaranteed. When you check in they charge you the full amount for your stay in addition to $150 for any potential other charges you may incur utilizing room service, the mini bar, etc. but they don’t tell you that.
