location was great, service was good, 2 very good restaurants attached, room was quiet, thought it was a little overpriced for the quality but overall was a very satisfactory stay

Excellent Boulderado!
Single overnight splurge. The working antique first floor elevator is a hoot.

Perfect location, Beautiful Hotel, High Price Tag
The hotel is in the perfect spot, one block off the pedestrian mall of Pearl Street. We valet'd the car and then never used it again. There's a bike rental stand right across the street. If you wanted to head to campus, it's a short bike ride or a 30 minute walk. There are two restaurants in the lobby--one with great outdoor seating and super friendly college-kid servers. It's a beautiful building and the historic vibe is great . . . an old-money, romantic, intriguing feel. The hotel has two wings so it's kind of maze-like. I thought that was cool but if you have mobility-challenged folks you may want to let the hotel know when you make your reservation. The reception/front desk team was fine. I wouldn't say they were full of personality or proactively welcoming but I have no complaints. The room was spotless and nice, but a little crowded. (We were given a room with two queen beds even though I'd only asked for one.) It was very quiet. The water pressure in the shower sucked. The iHome would have been a nice touch . . . except it had the "old" iphone hookup that NO ONE uses anymore. The only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars is the price. It's really expensive for what amounts to a pretty standard room with few frills and extras. That said, there is little competition for this location. Overall, this was a great spot for a quick weekend getaway. I loved Boulder and staying at the Boulderado made me feel like I was part of the town.
