Filthy room - so not worth the stay
I was in Charlotte for one night to attend a concert and was looking for a hotel near the downtown area. I found this one on hotels.com and booked it. The exterior looked very dated, but it got worse when you got inside. The 2 front desk staff people were not very friendly, and once they got a copy of my ID, they gave me the keycard for room 140. The room was absolutely disgusting. There were stains all over the carpet, the bathroom counter and the bedding. The bedskirt had stains and crusty junk on it (I don't even know what it was). The room smelled of stale cigarettes (and this was a non-smoking room). I had a door adjoining to another room (it was locked), but I could hear pretty much everything going on next door. If you want a clean room and a friendly stay, this is not the place for that. I realize this was an economy room, but for a hotel to boast their cleanliness practices, they failed miserably. I've used hotels.com several times for past trips, but this was by the most disappointing. I refused to take my shoes off while in the room and didn't even shower the next day because there was mold on the shower curtain.

Misleading information before booking
Why are you allowing only few characters for people to express their bad experiences at the hotel you promote. There is a list of complains I have, one of them been that there was no breakfast included at the Baymont by Wyndham Charlotte hotel. Not mentioned when I booked. And much more. Alberto Quartaroli
