Handy to airport train, slightly boring area
We booked the sustainability room, and really I can't say that I noticed much difference. Happy to book this room type to encourage hotels to do more in this area. A water cooler for filling up water bottle rather than individual plastic single use bottles would be better. This goes for most hotels in SE Asia. The hotel breakfast was quite pricey at 500baht but it was an extensive spread. The pool area was nice although the water was very cold despite being a 32 degree day. The spa seemed over priced so I didn't utilise. Location of this hotel was great for a later arrival into BKK airport as it's right near the station. Transport is pretty good from here but there aren't a heap of cafes or restaurants. The next main street up (via lane way between station road and hotel) has a good massage place and a handful of food options. The lifts were so far back in the building and really slow. The room was fine but probably starting to lose its new sheen a bit. If it wasnt for the short stop in Bangkok and the later arrival into BKK I would stay elsewhere

Don't let the "5 star" fool you
Close to the MRT is probably the only positive. Room was dated and there was a thin locked door into the next room beside us so as you can probably guess, we heard everything next door and they probably heard us too so we spoke really quietly. Wouldn't be staying here again I'm afraid.

Booked a deluxe room for the trip and had a very uncomfortable rest for the first night that we decided to pay for an upgrade to a premier room the next day. the ambience in the premier room was so much better. The deluxe room that we were assigned to initially had periodic weird noises. Not sure if it came from the aircon. We got a shocked as well when their housekeeping staff came into our room without knocking or ringing the doorbell after we checked in! Pillows need some change as they are too soft.
