Beautiful intimate getaway.
The resort was nearly exactly what we, a grown up couple without the kids, were looking for. It is a fantastic natural setting focused on the beach, the water, and the sea breezes. It's not too fancy, so people who would be frustrated by small details (e.g. a bit of rust on the mini-fridge, a torn window screen, an absent minded waitress or two) might want to opt for something newer and fancier. But the size is just right: small. And Love Beach is simply perfect. Two things prevent a 5 star rating: the coffee was lousy both in the room and at the restaurant, and there are concerts on weekend nights in the big house/restaurant. This was a particular issue Friday night when the local party band played until 2AM and the revelers were shouting loudest during the last half hour. Overall, I'd go back in a heartbeat, but next time I'll pack my own coffee and check the concert schedule.

Beautiful, relaxing and quiet beach resort
Beautiful huts right by the ocean beach. Very beautiful and very peaceful. The Compass Point Restaurant had very good food and excellent service. Waiters at the restaurant Maxine and Keesha were excellent.

Hotel is very nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only problem is its proximity to the airport. If you’re an early riser it will not be a problem but if you like to sleep past 7:00 AM it could be an issue for some. That being said the place is unique enough that for me it was a small inconvenience and will not stop me from recommending it to my family and friends. As there are only eighteen units the pool and hot tub were never crowded. Love Beach access is at the west end of the property through a fence that is locked at night. There were very few people on this ½ mile long beach when we were there.

Picturesque, but some Issues
Pros: -I've never seen a more beautiful resort. The multi-color rooms are stunning and the grounds are perfectly kept. The interior of the huts are just the right mix of comfort and charm - they're well air conditioned, but you can still hear the waves crashing at night. -Excellent snorkeling. -The location is perfect - it's about a half hour drive to downtown Nassau, 15 minutes to the airport, and if you're a diver, just 15 minutes to Stuart Cove's dive shop. -The hotel restaurant serves up excellent Bahamian food. Cons: -The hotel staff is inattentive and grumpy. We arrived slightly early for check-in and the frowning member of the staff told us we could "wait by the pool area, I guess" - not exactly a warm welcome to paradise. Restaurant staff frequently disappeared and had to be told orders multiple times before food would arrive. -The hotel is not on the beach. In order to reach Love Beach, you need to walk behind one of the huts, past a neighbor's private house, down a treacherous staircase, and through the tide to reach it. It's better than no beach access at all but getting there is quite the experience. -The rooms, bar, and food are really expensive for what you get. -You do get incoming plane traffic at all hours of the day. This didn't bother me too much, but I could see it annoying some. Overall, I'd return for dinner and the beautiful view of the resort at sunset, but I don't think I'd stay at the hotel again.
