Exceptional 10.0
Excellent location right from the train station. Many bus, tram and subway station near by. Europe ‘s largest shopping malls front of the hotel. Walk to les halles Paul bocus for lunch. Highly recommend.

We do not recommend this hotel
We chose the hotel based on the reputation of Novotel and the central location, but we regret it. Hotel parking was impossible to locate. After parking in the wrong location, the staff of another hotel directed us to cross the prohibited entrance of what looked like an abandoned renovation site to find the parking. Once there, there was no elevator, escalator or staff to help with lugagge. Being with an elderly and a pregnant woman, it was a pitfall. After that, we had to walk on our own with no safety guards in the odd renovation site trying to locate the hotel entrance for pedestrians, which again, turned out to be difficult to locate. If only they informed it during reservation procedure...

Four stars- really? Such a disappointment...
This hotel is rated as a 4 Star and it couldn’t be further from the truth. The location is comveniently locates to the train station but the pictures online are not indicative of the quality of the hotel. The surrounding area appeared drastically unsafe, the rooms were outdated, and accessing the hotel alone from the street was a chore in and of itself. This was nothing more than a two star hotel in my opinion and I was immensely disappointed in my choice. I feel vastly mislead by the pictures on the website and will not be staying with this chain of hotels again.

Poor 2.0
Very Rude and Miserable Hotel Staff - TO AVOID
Very rude staff. Not helpful at all.The reservation representative, Alexis, did not want to let us stay only one hour more, even if the guest was sick. Hotel did charge $5 per minute for telephone call on 09/09/2018. All other Novotel hotels. I visited are ok, BUT this one, at Lyon-Part-Dieu is to AVOID. until the Staff changes or get some "Welcome and Greeting" Training.

Good 6.0
Construction an issue but great staff
The construction outside the hotel prohibited Ubers from pulling close to hotel. We walked too far with heavy bags. I wish I would have known this up front. The staff was pleasant and helpful though.
