Mercure Marche aux Fleurs
Great location with very friendly staff. Good to see them making as many changes in terms of sustainability and eco-friendly toiletries and paper cups for water, etc. Fab breakfast options available daily. Downside was the room was quite small with very little storage space for two of us and having to wriggle past end of bed and wall-mounted TV. Having said that, we would use again but probably upgrade room.

Great potential, but overall disappointing…
We booked the hotel knowing that it was a more budget option and we’re pretty low maintenance, but was left overall disappointed by a hotel that has great potential, given the location right on the seafront. Pros: -Staff were always pleasant and helpful -Location is great, on the seafront and only a 2 minute walk from the markets -Bed and pillows were comfortable -Shower was good -Filtered water fountain Cons: -Room was very small, would’ve been a squeeze if we had larger cases, especially around the bed -The air-con only blew hot air, it wasn't boiling as we went in April, but still warm enough to be uncomfortable -We didn’t pay for enhanced room, but our view was’t very nice at all -Decor and appearance of the room and hotel was very different to the photos provided on Hotels.com -We had to ask for more milk, sugar etc as they weren’t refilled -We found many small black hairs on the bed and on the bathroom floor on arrival and after room service

I stayed here to be close to “old town” and the Mediterranean. I knew I was not going to take advantage of the other amenities other than talk with the concierge about places to check out. The staff was great and the location was awesome if you want to check out the beach across the street as well as be right by the cafes and shopping. Excellent!

The rooms were extremely small, felt like we were on top of one another. I would not have stayed if we had been staying longer. The staff were very good, friendly and helpful. However we were very disappointed to have to use paper cups and were only given 1 small bottle of water per day between us. Should have been one each. This was not a 4* hotel. You do not get paper cups in a 4 star hotel. Very disappointing. , more like 2 star. Definitely no where near worth over £300 per night! We have complained to Mercure as not their normal standard. (We thought we would be ok as it is a Mercure)

Location can’t be better. Right on Quai des Etats Unis Walking distance to beach, restaurants, Castle Hill, even Chagall Museum. Rooms small, cramped, typical French hotel, but clean and updated. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Even though I got COVID earlier in the trip, I was able to social distance and do things comfortably. 5stars
