Close to Airport, Great for Travel
We chose Hotel Mirage due to proximity to the airport (we walked back after returning the rental car and it was super quick and easy) and they were awesome in helping us obtain a taxi for our early flight the next morning. Hotel was clean and the restaurant attached was really convenient after a long day of driving

Not sure how this is a “four star” hotel. No coffee service, very dingy with an unpleasant odor, and terrible service. Room was clean enough but still had an odor and a very uncomfortable bed. Ok for one night if you have a flight in/out of Florence

I liked: multi lingual staff, size, colour & layout of room, location--park, bus, clean linen, front desk staff, cleaning staff, grand piano, evening meals, breakfast fruit, snack vending machines. Didn't enjoy: bad smell in reception area and my room, air conditioning uncleaned & not enough cooling, mold on parts of shower doors, advertised as with shower/bath combination, however, no bath. Hear room above shower and toilet water draining. Unstable WiFi in room, breakfast--cold, hard slices of scrambled egg that tasted like fatty meat, coffee--undrinkable. Overall, there's a sense of not enough staff for their workload-especially around breakfast service.

Hotel is a little old and faded, but very clean and the staff are very helpful. Great location for the airport (not so good for the histoic centre), several very good restaurants within a short walking distance.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. When I walked in to check in at midnight, there were alarms going off that had been going off for hours. Guests were in the lobby because their power was out. When I checked in, our key didn’t work. Went down to get a new key, tried again and still didn’t work. As we tried as second time, someone opened the door - there was already someone in that room. We went down and the frond desk gave us a new room number. When we opened that door we heard screaming and panic and we had apparently try walked in to another persons room who was sleeping and scarred for his life. We went down and finally got a room with nobody in it except it was a twin bed instead of a king for my girlfriend and I. I asked for a refund when we checked out but the front desk said no and it was hard to argue because they couldn’t speak English. Do not come here, will be attempting to charge this back with my bank.
