Days Inn Vidalia
Overall it was o.k. I was concerned that one of the external doors that is supposed to be locked was left open apparently on purpose during the day until 11 pm. I used the gym which was adequate but they could use some wipes in the room. The person before me did not clean the treadmill and it was dirty. I also wanted to use the whirlpool but it was very cold and no one knew how to heat it or if it was broken. In my room I found a couple of hair pins on the carpet which leads me to believe it was not vaccum after the last guest left. The staff was friendly but could not be of help with the issues I mentioned.

Ok but fumigation is needed
Everything was fine except I had to kill a roach in our room and that alone gets me. It’s real easy for roaches to get in your clothes or your luggage and then you bring them home with you.

Too smokey
We were in a non-smoking room but the hall and smoke from surrounding rooms took away your breath. Made it difficult to sleep with the smell of smoke overtaking the room

Front desk lady was rude. She actually snapped her fingers at me. Also, no elevators to get luggage to upper floors.

Great hotel in need of decent customer service
I love this hotel. The rooms are always clean and the beds are great. Breakfast is good as well. The customer service is the WORST I've ever dealt with and it's like this everyone I stay. They need to understand that sometimes the customer just might be right. I can get along with most anyone, but these rude know it alls. If you have no questions whatsoever then this is the place to stay. If you prefer service then choose another hotel or prepare for verbal warfare. The key cards haven't been working to the outer doors. We were instructed to place a rock in it so we didn't have to enter thru the lobby. On our last visit we were told the door would open. We parked by the door and it wouldn't open. It's 30 degrees and we have to carry everything back to the other end of the hotel to go through the office. We were given a rude lecture on how to use the key and where the little arrow was located for direction when inserting the card. I informed her that I was aware of how the keys work and that after numerous attempts it wouldn't open. I was informed "Well it was working!" (like I'm lacking IQ or broke the door. ) I just said well it's not working now and left. Later I was informed that the door was working. By morning I decided that if inserted many times the door would open, but no its not properly working. I'm tired of the rude treatment. I don't expect anyone to cater to me but if you expect me to pay $97 a night then you need to buy these women a few people skills.
