8/10 Very good

Lovely stay, wonderful people :)
Beautiful room with plenty of amenities, tea/coffee/biscuits, mini fridge (which was not expected), TV and in room wash basin. Could have done with a fan to combat the hot weather. Only down side was being able to hear the music from the bar area downstairs, according to the website would finish before midnight but continued until 1.30am. The owners / staff on duty were very helpful and friendly with great personalities. Highly recommend for atmosphere and pub environment.

My only problem was the internet connection in my room was a bit iffy. Other than that you get what you pay for.

Team extremly friendly and attentive, room very spacious and clean. Good supply of tea, coffee & wash stuff in room. Reasonably priced drinks in the bar with friendly regulars. Still a very enjoyable stay. Thank you to the team, see you again soon! :-)

8/10 Very good

It does what it says on the Tin. Was at a concert and wouldn’t get back until later but staff were more than accommodating and let us get back late (being Friday it was up to midnight they said) just had to knock the door was all. Room was basic but as expected, room was clean enough save for some cobwebs, bed was fine & served its purpose. Toilet/shower areas need some minor TLC and would prefer disposable paper towels for drying hands afterwards instead of a communal towel. That being said the shower was ok and got a good wash in on the morning. Towels for shower provided but used my own instead as I had them and the ones provided got left in the corner. Some shower gels by the sink in the room also but didn’t get used. Music downstairs was on a bit past 12 but hey it’s a pub so what do you expect, at least the tunes were decent! Was only there about 8 hours in all as we had a 4 hour journey to get on with but served it’s purpose and for £30ish per person (party of 3) it was decent. For those driving, there is a carpark down the road (Burford Street IIRC) which is open 24 hours after some research and there was plenty of space available, even over the Jubilee weekend. Had CCTV as well. Leaving on the morning was fine, just leave through the back gate. Room doors had digi locks so no key needed, just the code so we got off straight away and didn’t need to wait for any staff. If you have an over nighter and don’t mind sharing a bathroom, it’s decent.
