Great location but rooms need update!
The hotel is in a prime location near Sanibel Island. The lobby is updated and modern. The pool and jacuzzi are great. The heated pool is so warm and large. The rooms are dark and musty. The bathrooms could use vents so they don't get moldy. Our room was never cleaned. They do have a cleaning staff. Overall a 6 out of 10.

Check in and checkout was quick and friendly. The shower had some mold stains. The pool was back open and beautiful. The beds seemed small, I guess I missed where it said double size.

Not recommended
I’ve stayed here years ago and it was ok. Since then, the hotel was greatly affected by the hurricane. First floor rooms were not available because of that damage. Understandable of course. I had requested a first floor room due to mobility challenges. I didn’t know it was unavailable until check in. The outside of the building just seems unkempt and has some crumbling concrete. There is trash and broken glass all around the property, which made walking my dog a challenge. The elevator I used was very dirty. When I entered my room, it did smell clean and fresh, so I figured, it’s just one night, I’ll be fine. Until it became nighttime. That’s when I saw bugs in the room. So I left right then, and went elsewhere. I really don’t demand much from a hotel stay, but this was pretty terrible. I’d say this place shouldn’t be open, but I know there are people staying here who are working on hurricane damage repair elsewhere in town. I’m sure some displaced people are depending on this hotel. I just wouldn’t recommend staying here until this place is cleaned up (and has an exterminator).

Don’t check into this hotel
We have stayed here many times. It has progressively gotten worse. Bathroom had something growing out of the vent . Stains on the sheets and bed bugs. I can never go back. Mentioned this at checkout and got nothing in return. They should of stayed closed after Hurricane Ian.
