Good experience.
Good value. And helpful people. I left something behind and after a phone call the staff promptly mailed it to me in Leicester. Much appreciated.

Good location, Bad upkeep
We stayed three nights, and we're looking for something conveniently located, but affordable. Astor Court Hotel succeeded in both those areas for us. It failed, however, in some other areas. The staff was friendly, especially Clara, who worked the front desk and gave us directions and suggestions during our stay. Some of the other staff weren't quite as good, but not too bad. Our room was on the top floor, and the elevator and front desk area of the hotel looked great. Once we got to our room however, things went downhill.... Our room was for four people, and had a separate bedroom and living space so we were pleased upon first arriving. After spending a couple of hours in the room we found the bathroom sink and tub to be quite grimy and stained. Also, the floor of the whole room was horribly squeaky, uneven, and felt as if you might fall through at any moment! The outlets were in the most inconvenient and strange places in the room, and the toilet was separate from the bathroom in its own little closet that was SO SMALL you couldn't even close the door without hitting your knees! Overall we were unimpressed.

The hotel was charming and historic in a nice neighborhood convenient to Tube stops. We had a triple room, which was very roomy by London standards. The bathroom could use updating, but it was very clean and functional. We loved the historic character of the room.

Astor Court to Stay
It was a pleasant stay with my family, we had kitchen, wi-fi though they can improve the wi-fi service to be a little better. We loved the location, we did not request too much housekeeping due to not being in the room too much. Front desk, specially, April & Amelia were great help. The map they gave had some deals up to 20% off for Pizzeria and Italian etc.

Perfect for a family
This was a quick stop over for a family of 5, before flying home. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment on the second floor. It was quiet and clean. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was soft. The service from the front desk was great which was exactly what we needed. After a three week family trip we were happy to receive helpful and friendly tips: from arranging a cab, helping us find a restaurant on a Sunday night, to loaning us adapters to charge our phones. This place is not fancy, nor is it meant to be. The breakfast is simple but you won't leave hungry. We were quite happy and I would stay here again if the 2 bedroom apartment was available.
