Overall this is an excellent property. It is a recently built spacious apartment in a small development on the outskirts of the town, but still within easy walking distance of everything. It should easily merit a score of 10 but is badly let down on a number of issues. It is owned by one of the hotels but there was no communication telling us to collect the keys from there, not even a note on the door. There was a lack of cleaning products and equipment. There was no vacuum cleaner, no detergents (apart from one dishwasher tablet). There was no bath mat, even though the bathroom had a tiled floor. There was a lack of instruction books for the equipment and no information pack apart from a few small notices on the wall. If these were remedied the apartment would be superb, or at the very least guests should be informed of these deficiencies.
Eating in the owner's Mount Stuart Hotel restaurant was first class. A standard way beyond all the other restaurants in the town and the 10% discount was much appreciated, also a special note to the superb staff in the dining room who made us most welcome.
