Hotel Rome Garden, Rome
Very Good8.0
Our stay was made great by our front desk person(Ilvera) ,the Crew that fed us(Daniella and Sabrina) and the crew that cleaned the grounds and our room. This hotel was quiet and quaint and very welcomed after walking all day (literally) to see the sites. Ilvera always welcomed us with a smile whether we were coming or going and helped us with whatever problem or question we had. We would gladly stay there again.

Great staff
Great small hotel close to the main attractions in Rome. There is a bus stop 2 min from the hotel so it was convenient to get around. The rooms were pretty small but very comfortable. Bathroom was also small but clean. Breakfast was very good, the selection was small but the quality was good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would complain about is the parking.

Roman Holiday!
They let me park my van in the enclosed area for the entire stay at no charge. Great breakfast even bacon and eggs if that's you wish. Helped book our tours. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Moved to another hotel!
We can't accurately rate this hotel as on arrival they moved us to a sister hotel. They didn't clearly explain why other than saying they had a system problem, the spoken English of the Receptionist was poor. We should really have stood our ground but we were tired, hungry and wanted to freshen up so agreed to go to the other hotel that was in the city centre. The other hotel was the Locanda Carolie which was a small but nice hotel in a good location but there was a lot of city noise and we didn't sleep well. They did offer us a room away from the street after our first night which had no tram noise but was still quite noisy and was very small. We were able to get everywhere on foot but our original choice was deliberately made to give us quiet nights. I got the feeling they had over booked and I wonder if this is something they often do. I would advise others to stand their ground. We did ask for an explanation when we got to the other hotel but they also were unable to explain. If you don't mind city noise I would recommend Locanda Carolie and the ratings above refect that.
