Meh
The place needs an overhaul. Old, dated, stained carpets. Most surfaces needed painting. The room was drab and outdated. The location, right near the train station is actually right over the train station. Since I had a room on the 1st floor, the train noise was quite disturbing. That said, the place was pretty clean where it could be, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was an 8 out of 10 with excellent coffee and breads. A few more choices of warm foods could improve it even more. Bring ear plugs, get a room in a higher floor and the location and breakfast almost make up for everything else.

Right next to the central station, so it was a bit noisy even at night, but I didn't mind. Definatly would stay again!

free wine everyday
great location just next to the train station, organic breakfast was great and the front desk people super friendly and all spoke good english, the best was the free wine daily from 5 to 6 pm, you could have a couple of glasses of either red or white wine for free and seat in the lobby watching people walk by or talk to other wine lovers.the wi fi worked just fine, the price is reasonable. on weekend nights a few noisy and perhaps drunk guys yelling or arguing, bring ear plugs and be fine.

Close and convenient but noise all night
Very close to the Central Train station, which is good and not so good, because there was noise all night long...it got quiet around 3 a.m., then got noisy by 6 a.m. Hard to sleep, even on the comfortable bed.

Avoid the Hotel Astoria in Copenhagen.
I have stayed at three stars hotels before, this was the worst. Noisy location. Bare bones room. Insuffient lighting. The wake up call on the day I had to leave for CPH never came. Stains or threadbare carpeting in room and other areas of the hotel. Emphasis on bar. Bar music can be loud. Train noise is everpresent. Some desk clerks spoke English well and were helpful. Others not so. The room was clean. The breakfast staff and food were good. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to others.
