Get what you pay for
The ice machine on our floor was broken, there was an empty used shampoo bottle in our shower. We were in a handicap accessible room with a shower chair that would’ve fallen apart if it was used as intended. Bed was comfortable and overall wasn’t that bad. We were in town for a concert, the room served its purpose. With the restaurant was open that would’ve improved the stay tremendously!

Take the extra time to head further into town
First off, the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Despite having to have my key card reprogrammed three times until eventually just changing rooms when I checked in at 12:30 in the morning, it sadly wasn’t the worst part. Not sure how this is a 3-star hotel. Hotels near the airport often have a reputation of not being great but I had a very late arrival into Pittsburgh and didn’t want to mess with driving so I took a chance. In hindsight, I should have made the extra effort and driven further into the city. This hotel is tired and aging. Everything feels outdated which makes the whole place seem unclean because it just looks old. The “breakfast” is really just a table with to-go items you would find at the gas station, like granola bars and individual muffins, in an area that was once a restaurant/bar that might have been a happening place in a previous life but is now just some mismatched tables, unplugged video games in the corner, with the overhead lights turned off…likely to save money on the electricity. Overall, it feels like a place that used to be a hotel that was then shuttered for many years and then reopened one day with the hopes no one would notice any time had past.

The hotel is need of major repair. It looks like the room/hotel maintenance was not done professionally. The window wouldn’t completely shut and something was wedged in to stop the rain and wind from entering. The bathroom door was so warped it would not close completely. Peeling paint and chalk in the room. Lots more sadly…. We stayed there because it showed a restaurant and bar, both were closed and looked if it’s been that way for awhile. The morning included a free breakfast ‘to go’ which was what appeared to be items purchased from the Sam’s Club down the street. Only positives were no weed smell or loud noises/guests in the middle of the night.
