    Good location; needs updating and cleaning

    The Marker is in a great location, just blocks from Union Square. The service was really good and responsive, but the room itself was worn and in need of a much better cleaning. The headboard cushion was flaking off, the toilet was NOT clean upon arrival, the water takes forever to get warm and the window ledge and windows themselves need a deep clean. I wanted our weekend to be really special, but this hotel dampened the experience.

    I am so glad I chose this hotel. I got there Saturday night and they upgraded my room. I told them how the price went down on Expedia and I was wondering if I could get a free upgrade because of it. Without my knowledge they already upgraded it. The restaurant in the hotel was great. Right across the street is the Clift hotel with the red room lounge. So easy to walk to all locations I needed. There is a liquor store right across the street and Walgreens. Union square is two streets over and the mall is about a ten minute walk. They open the doors for you right away, each and every time. Valet service was fast. I was only charged for the 36 dollar or so a night(all hotels do that) I got 5$ bar credit for not having my room cleaned. I’m very happy with the service. Will go back. They even give you a gift when you check in.
