Surprised - expected much better
The stay ended up OK and started off as unpleasant. Got there a little after 3 PM (check in time is at 3 PM) and was told "not sure we have rooms ready, we are understaffed. Oh, look we do have 2!". We had 2 rooms reserved. It was a little bit of a strange check-in but it went alright. Went to one of the 2 rooms and there was many stains on the carpet (a huge one and a sticky one). There are animals allowed at the hotel so maybe it was due to that. The room was 218. Other problems that ended up with the specific room were the sink would only put out hot steaming water and the shower trickled while the knob seemed broken (kept turning more than it should have). Lastly, the TV had a type of shadow on it. The other room we reserved was OK (fewer stains and the plumbing worked just fine). Talked to the manager the next morning to have our room switched. We left for a few hours and when we have back we had a new room (412, I think). The room was *MUCH* better. Its shower never stopped dripping but at least it ran well. Kudos to the manager taking care of it. The breakfast was good and the location was fantastic. The hotel is outdated (in addition to the stains and mold) and did not meet expectation but in the end was able to get the job done.

It was an amazing stay, made possible by the outstanding staff at Hampton Inn! Bailey was nothing short of tremendous. She was nice, engaging, and friendly. Destiny, Tawnie, Laimara, and Brittany completed the front desk excellence! Thomas was soo nice. He provided friendly muscle when we needed it. His wife Ana was in the kitchen, and completed our stay with friendly excellence. A great big thank you to the staff at Hampton Inn for an excellent job well done!
